Promotion of Biodiversity
With a view to the coexistence of factories and nature
The MARUWA Seto plant aims to coexist with the natural ecosystem through biotopes of vegetation and parts of factories that are conscious of their connection with nature.
All the wastewater in the factory is discharged through a regulating pond on the site, and as a barometer for environmental conservation, fish are raised in Crescent Pond, which is part of the regulating pond, making employees become aware of environmental protection and receive healing from nature.

Biotope is an important effort to recreate parts of the natural environment and maintain ecological balance.
Various plants were planted around local native species, and ponds and wetlands were provided to create an environment where various aquatic plants and aquatic life could live.
It has become a safe place for various wild animals such as killifish, river fish, birds and insects.

For all living things to support each other and live together
The MARUWA Group's business activities are supported by biodiversity in terms of procurement of raw materials and water used in production processes. Based on this recognition, MARUWA has been working to conserve biodiversity.
In support of the "Jokoji Firefly Village Association" in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, we donate our land to the local community to help maintain a rich natural environment where fireflies can live.
